Ingredients
- 1 lb elbow macaroni
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp flour
- 2 cups milk
- 2 1/2 cups cheddar cheese (shredded)
- 1/2 tsp salt
- black pepper
Instructions

1Cook macaroni according to package directions. Drain and set aside.

2In the same pot, melt butter over medium heat. Whisk in flour and cook for 1 minute.

3Gradually whisk in milk. Cook, stirring frequently, until thickened.

4Remove from heat and stir in cheese until melted and smooth. Season with salt and pepper.

5Add pasta back to the pot and stir to coat. Serve immediately.
