Swipe for Dinner ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Swipe for Dinner mobile application (the "App").

We value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information.

Information We Collect

We collect only the information necessary to operate the App:

• Email address – used for account creation and authentication
• Meal preferences – meals you like or dislike
• Planning and optional pairing information - data required to save your dinner plan, sync a shared plan, or invite another user
• Saved recipes – meals you choose to save
• Purchase status – whether your Apple in-app purchase subscription is active, expired, restored, or otherwise available to unlock Premium features

How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to:

• Provide meal planning, saved recipes, optional shared planning, and shopping list functionality
• Sync dinner plans between paired users when you choose to plan with someone else
• Save and display your favorite meals and recipes
• Unlock and manage Premium access after Apple confirms your purchase or restoration status
• Maintain and improve the App's core features

We do not use your data for advertising or marketing purposes.

Purchases and Subscriptions

Premium subscriptions are purchased through Apple's in-app purchase system. Apple processes payment information and may share subscription status with the App so we can unlock, restore, or manage Premium access.

We do not receive or store your full payment card details. Subscription management, cancellation, renewal, and refund requests are handled through your Apple ID account and App Store settings.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for advertising or marketing.

Your data is processed and stored using Supabase, which acts as our backend infrastructure provider and processes data only on our behalf.

Usage analytics are processed by PostHog. This service processes data only on our behalf to help us improve the App.

Apple processes in-app purchase and subscription transactions according to Apple's own terms and privacy practices.

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase's managed infrastructure.

We take reasonable measures to protect your information from unauthorized access or disclosure.

Tracking

Swipe for Dinner collects analytics to improve the App experience. This data is used for internal analysis only. We do not track users across apps or websites owned by other companies.

Analytics

We collect usage data to improve the App, including which features you use and how you navigate the app. This data is processed by PostHog and is linked to your account for internal analysis only.

This data is not used for advertising and is not shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

Data Retention and Deletion

Your data is retained only as long as your account is active.

You can delete your account directly in the app by going to Settings → Delete Account. This will permanently remove your account and all associated data, including your meal preferences, dinner plan, swipes, and saved recipes.

Children's Privacy

Swipe for Dinner is not intended for children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
